I remember in 1980, i visted the observatory at Greenwich, England with Paul Barrett (God rest his soul, he passed recently.) The Royal Observatory Greenwich is the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian of the World. It is also home to London's only planetarium, the Harrison timekeepers and the UK's largest refracting telescope.
Paul and I had to walk up a long slighly inclined road from the Thames Ferry. There were a dozen Bobbys, with their traditional helmuts and dark blue uniforms, huddled near the front entrance to the Museum. Paul and I distinctly heard the guards muttering "here come a bunch of Paddys." Unffortunately , We were wearing tweed jackets and greenish brown herringbone tweed Irish flat caps. You know, it is like a Hoodie.
We chuckled. Two of the bobbys followed us throughout the entire visit in the Museum.
Paul and I craved the attention.
I have confessed often that i am a racist. I do believe that the Irish culture is superior to all other cultures. I also know that many, many African Americans have been accused of being racists.
You would think that they would be proud of being African American considering the enormous accomplishments of blacks in every field of endeavor.
But Obama, according to his comments below, can't shake off being black. Enen though he said: "Once you go black, you never go back." Perhaps the blacks need counseling rather than reparations.

JUSTICE WAS NOT SERVED for the family of Tryvon Martin, or Zimmerman, or USA Juris Prudence System.
I did not follow the trial. After the verdict was announced, I read the 911 tapes; a video by Juan Williams; the testimony of the Gun Shot expert; the FBI Report; the Suit filed by Zimmerman against NBC; videos of commentary by the Jurors; and a lot a gobbly-gook by main streat media. Several of these source stories are listed below.
My findings and thoughts:
The picture of Treyvon Martin was not a current picture of him. He was more mature.
Zimmerman should have stayed in his car and waited for the police as advised by the 911 operator. His judgment was obnoxious.
The case of the State vs Zimmerman was corrupted by Obama's comments ("If I had a son, he would be like Treyvon.") and the venom deposited by Al Sharpton and his gang of racists.
If the case were developed without BIASED media input and in a dispassionate manner, it should have been possible to punish Zimmerman on a charge of minor manslaughter. It does appear the death was a result of racism, not a hate crime; maybe a case of self defense; but most certainly a case of COLOSSAL STUPIDITY.
WHY SHOULD A NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PERSON BE CARRYING A GUN? WELL, I DO KNOW THE HASIDIC JEWS IN NYC CARRY GUNS ON THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH.
BUT WHEN YOU MIX RACISM AND POOR POLITICS AND EMOTIONAL JOURNALISM AND A TRIAL, YOU GET CRAP.
We spent 6 weeks in Africa meeting thousands of young hardworking africans. There were no hoodies. There was no Al Sharpton.
In our paper on our trip, we mentioned that the trip changed a number of of our beliefs.
For one, we now believe American people of African descent are for the most part racists or totally misinformed by their leaders; of course, Racism is a billion dollar business in the USA.
I am prepared to challenge my African American friends on this issue the first chance I get.
Shame shame on Barack Obama and his AND HIS CADRE OF RACISTS.

Also more of their acts include, “Clearly impossible”, which was designed by Jonathan where a transparent box was fit to show the body of Charlotte from head to toe where he cut her into half. Also in a show they made 25 show girls vanish and then again reappear in front of live audience.
#4 ,magic babe ning. she is the one also rewarded as the “South East Asia’s First Professional Female Magician” by all main newspaper’s and magazines. She is been inspired by “David Copperfield” by watching his shows when she was 5 years old. Ning doesn’t like that the females are made to perform in magic acts by giving submissive roles to the male’s performing magic acts, which makes her enthusiastic towards her work. Now she performs with J C Sum in their illusion show across Asia. Ning performed South East Asia’s first ever mega escape called “The Impalement cage” on 5 July 2008, where she escaped from the handcuffs, locks, shackles and chains to free herself from a steel cage with a bed of 13 stainless steel spikes, timed to crash down on her in 90 seconds, also here she was blind folded and all this was done in live show in front of audience on large number. Also a show “The Impossible Journey” was staged by her were 3 people’s were shifted across the river in front of all people. The most famous one includes “The Impossible record” where on 27 June 2009; Ning & J C set a new world record with their performance of 15 grand illusions performed in 5 minutes.
7. Female magicians? You mean there's women out there who actually perform magic professionally? Yes - and they are gradually multiplying like bunnies from a hat.
There are approximately 100 full-time female magicians in the world.
Women overall are a minority of the magicians who perform today.

i enjoy oliver sachs and read much if not all of his work on consciousness, little of which do i agree with. i have read everything considered "important work" on consciousness. And, I have a workable theory.
i am agnostic as to the immortality of my soul, simply because there is so much we do not know. I did take a course a few years ago at dartmouth on the philosophy of God taught by a professor (whose name escapes me) who was an athiest. His father and grandfather were ministers. He lost his wife while severe mountain climbing. He was facinated with Saint Anselm's proslogion. He maintained in a soon to be published book that one should "Hope for God."
so I believe that poeople like Oliver Sachs who profess antheism as opposed to agnositicism are whack jobs.
In any event I enjoy looking to my 80th soon and to the next decade with a passion. I profoundly believe in the Singularity as prophesized by Raymond Kurzweil which should occur around by 90th birthday.

Is this pollution as bad as it is protrayed? We saw similar conditions on our west african trip. But there are no reports of people dying from the billions of tons of fish that are being exported.
