Joe, All politicians are hypocrites. They sound good, but what do they do? Whatever the folks with the money who buy them ask them to do. I am sure you noticed even in the New Testament, Christ preached love - love everyone - even your enemies and those who mistreat you. However, he never seemed to preach love for the Pharisees, Scribes and Sadducees. He never seemed to even have one kind word for any of them. Why was that? Because they were for the most part a bunch of hypocrites. So, when people hold politicians in low regard, it is only because they are for the most part a bunch of hypocrites. People are merely following what Christ preached and many of the people don't even realize it. Tom.
Tom: I certainly agree with your sentiments; and I like the your comments about Jesus and the Pharisees.. I would prefer to say that most pols are crooks, but not all. Btw: do you have any info on Plunkett, Hagan, Mullany, Kerrigan, Yarrow? Are they still alive.. I occasionally hear from PaulSB who is surviving the surgical knife with great honor? Joe, I like the current political wave that is sweeping the country. Everyone appears to believe that Hillary will be next president of the USA. It is a fait accompli. All she has to do is throw her hat in the ring and ipso facto she will be elected. I think folks should remember that Hillary gave it her best shot in 2008 and she didn't even get the nomination of the Democrat Party. Now, 8 years later everyone believes she is a shoo-in. Well, in Pennsylvania, there was a similar situation in the Democrat Party for the nomination. Rep. Allison Schwartz was a shoo-in, a fait accompli, preordained - she lost. Mr. Wolf won more votes than all the other candidates combined including those for Allison Schwartz. Could this be a harbinger of the fate that awaits Hillary? Tom.

I DO NOT THINK OBAMA IS BAD AS HE IS BEING MADE OUT TO BE. SO IT MUST BE COMPLEXIFICATION. REMEMBER THAT TEILHARD de CHARDIN talked about it.
My course, last year at Dartmouth, about the NIC report Global Trends 2030 talked about government getting to complicated because of technology, empowerment of consumer, lack of jobs, and indebtedness. So maybe Obama is caught between a rock and a hard place.
I think the tea party, although very nice people, are a major threat to the country. If they win in November 2014, it will be bad news for the republicans and good news for Hillary. HAVING SAID ALL THE ABOVE; something is smoldering with HILLARY. It could be Bubba, or she could be very sick and covering it up. Otherwise I do not know what I am talking about. joe
